Under the Needle

Happy Sunday everyone - I declared today as MY day - that's the day that I can spend all the time in my happy place (my embroidery room), without interruption!

I started my afternoon with this very colorful Valentine's day shirt for a special order. I love doing applique and embroidery. It's always fun to go thru my fabric bins to find the right color combinations. My customer wanted something bright and cheery for Valentine's day for her daughter but not necessarily the traditional red. I love this color combination and know she will also.

Next up was something my Grand daughter Elly wanted for her sister Masyn. She had found the heart applique on Saturday while looking thru my design library. So, of course I had to make a shirt for Masyn.

Elly picked out the color purple and wanted pink and red words. Great color choices Elly! Elly said she would find her own design and it would be super special just for her. I know she will find that design and I will make it just for her.

The last item today is another applique heart for a customer who has a new grand son. She had seen a similar design on a shirt at a local store but it was screen printed. She asked if I could customize the design. Applique is so much fun and I was excited to make her happy.
